Meet Mary Gunther — the “G” behind The Social G Co.
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Mary’s got local roots and big vision. She’s a proud Grand Valley State Laker (Anchor Up!) with a Master’s in Organizational Development from Western Michigan University. Her career has always been about connection, championing people, purpose, and business growth across West Michigan.
Before launching The Social G Co. in 2023, Mary helped shape some of the city’s most exciting spaces from rebranding work with the Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority (hello, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. 👋) to supporting foodpreneurs at the Downtown Market as Director of HR & Ops.
With a sharp mix of strategy, creativity, and community love, Mary built The Social G Co. to give businesses the social presence they’ve always wanted (strategic, authentic, and impossible to ignore). Since then, the agency has become a sought-after partner for brands ready to grow, connect, and make moves online.
When she’s not leading strategy, Mary’s answering to her favorite title: Mom. She’s raising her family right here in Michigan (the best state in the Midwest, no contest).
